Creating a DNS Entry/Record for the LAN |

- Go to LAN Services >> Basic LAN >> DNS
- Check on Enable DNS Forwarder
- Select the interface. It is possible to select multiple interfaces.
- Click on Save
To add a Host over ride
- To create the entry for a Host click on the 'Add New' button under Host Over rides
- Enter the DNS Name of the Host (eg: gateway).
- Enter the Domain the Host is a member of (eg: example.com).
- Enter the IP address of the Host (eg: 192.168.1.1).
- Give a description and click on 'Save' and 'Apply Changes'.
To add a Domain over ride
- To create the entry for a Domain click on the 'Add New' button under Domain Over rides
- Enter the Domain to override (NOTE: this does not have to be a valid TLD!)
- Enter the IP address of the authoritative DNS server for this domain e.g. 192.168.100.100. Or enter # for an exclusion to pass through this host/sub domain to standard name servers instead of a previous override. of the Host (eg: 192.168.1.1).
- Give a description and click on 'Save' and 'Apply Changes'.
