Enabling The LAN Hosts To Use The Internet Connection (NATing)

To Enable NAT For An Interface:

  1. Go to Routing >> NAT
  2. Select Oubound NAT
  3. Select the NAT mode; Automatic outbound  or Manual outbound NAT
  4. Click on Save once you have made the selection.

If you have selected 'Automatic' option, rules will be automatically configured for all configured networks that does not have gateway configured.

If you have selected 'Manual' option, rules will be added same as the automatic option and you will need to add/edit to suit your needs. Pl. note that rules will be added only the first time you switch from 'Automatic -> Manual' mode.

To add a new rule click on the 'Add a new rule' button.

  1. Select interface that you want to enable NAT this is normally WAN interface.
  2. Select the Source Type >> choose 'Network'. Source >> enter the LAN IP address range.
  3. Translation >> Select Interface address.
  4. Click on 'Save' and 'Apply Changes'
