Gateway Antivirus: Basic configuration

Goto LAN Services >> Proxy Server

Under "General settings":Make sure that Enable Proxy Server is checked.
  • Proxy interface: Select the interfaces to which the proxy server should listen to.
  • Check Allow users on interface, to allow users from the selected interfaces in Proxy interface
  • Enable Gateway Antivirus
  • Proxy Port: Enter the port number to which the proxy should listen on.
Save changes by clicking Save button.
Now navigate to Security >> Gateway Antivirus
  • Select the Auth Type. If you are using proxy authentication, choose "Basic Auth" otherwise choose IP.
  • Select Deployment Type based on the no. of online desktops. Small < 50, Medium up to 150, Large upt to 500 and very large for 501 and above.
Save changes by clicking Save button.

Click on Web Filter Groups on the left menu to list view the groups. There will be one group called DEFAULT. Rules defined by the DEFAULT group will be applied to users who is not mapped to any other groups.

Click on next to DEFAULT  and select Edit Filter Rules from the drop down menu to customize filtering rules to suit your needs. Make sure that you save and Apply the changes once you are done editing rules.
